				 | Not Takers? Body Flex Someone has to know something about this! Body Flex I have noticed a odd happening while driving on wavy roads. My steering wheel will turn and roll with the pavement. It feels like body flex. Also, I get a mean shimmy at 75+ MPH. What can I do cheaply to take care of the chassis? I believe I need the front end checked for the shimmy. But I want to know if both symptoms would be caused by bad ball joints? And wouldn't that show up at all speeds? Thank you for any help!!

				 | It could be your ball joints causing the shimmy. Take it in to have it checked. As far as the wheel turning with the waves in the road.... it's fairly normal. Wide tires will always track with the groove in the pavement. If you think the tracking is excessive, it's best to have that sort of stuff checked out before you experience some sort of catastrophic failure.

				 | One more thing, sub-frame connectors are great. If you don't have them, they are highly recommended.

				 | Thanks I will look in to those things you mentioned. I think balljoints may be in the future. Sub frame connectors, what do you reccomend? What kind and where can I get them at a good price? Thanks again!

				 | full lenght subs with cross bars are the best i would think. The prices range from around 70-120 depending on who you get them from. Oh, and have them welded on, that bolt on crap is pointless.

				 | WIDE TIRES MADE MY CAR TRAVEL BAD, ID GET YOUR ALIGNMENT CHECKED TOO, HE'S RIGHT ABOUT THE WELD IN SUB-FRAMES, THE BOLT IN ONES ARE CRAP, UNLESS YOU BOLT AND WELD THEM IN. |

				 | Wide tires put extra strain on your suspension components. It's not too expensive to have your alignment done (if nothing is bad), and subframes can be picked up for as little as $70. Just find a buddy with a welder. Probably weld them in for you for next to nothing. The subframes will enhance chassis stiffness nicely. |
