The car is an '86 LX. It was originally a V6. All the V6 wiring is still in it.

The HO 5.0 engine I bought for it is from a 1986 Lincoln Mark VII. All the wiring that went to the computer is cut. All the injector wiring is still intact though. I pulled a computer and main wiring harness off a '88 Cougar non-HO 5.0 at a junkyard. Will the comp. or harness be compatible with my engine, or car? If not, can I use a harness and computer from a '87-'93 Mustang 5.0? Or do I have to get a computer and harness from a '86 Mustang or Mark VII? Any input is appreciated... |
