very nice lookin

it looks alot like mine did before the spoiler and hood. I love the look of a plain coupe, no spoiler and maybe a small cowl hood. I'm starting to wish I wouldn't have put that spoiler on my car.

Looks great! We've got an 88GT and we're thinking about converting to 5-lug. Your sig says you used FMS rotors - all the way around? Do you have a rough idea on cost to convert all four wheels to 5-lug - I'm also assuming bigger brakes?

Nope stock sized brakes... I'll probably convert to rear discs later, but I needed to get my wheels on . I'm not completely sure on the cost. It will vary depending on the condition and who makes the parts, I found a pretty good deal on ebay for like 380 which included the FMS rotors (Part # M-1102 ), rear Moser axles, standard Rear drums, and new rear shoes. The rotors are something like $160 from ford, the axles I've seen for $229 in MMFF. I'm sure you can pick up the drums from autozone or something for less than $50.
Thats all I really needed... I was very happy and all the stuff I bought went on perfect (isnt that incredible....a first for me).

There are certainly cheaper ways of converting...look at this page it tell you all you need for a pretty cheap conv. http://www.stangparts.com/howto/5.0/5lug/
Hope I could help, PM if you got any more questions.
thanks for the compliments all!

Thanx guys on the info relating to brake upgrades. With this info - we can upgrade to 5-lug, which we prefer, without a huge initial cost. Can put the ranger drums on the rear and upgrade front rotors to 5-lug - more likely - we'll put bigger brakes up front to slow this stang down quicker.

88coupe - man big difference before and after! We've got a paint job ahead of us, we want to get most of the heavy mechanicals done first.

Just wanted to ask, how you painted it... I imagine you had an air gun and the whole setup right? you didnt use canned spray paint... right?

Whoa! ...big difference!

Looks really good

Super clean... like the wheels too.

Makes me want to get another fox-body and keep it closer to stock... some day.

Very nice painting job
The only problem I have (which is very minor) is that the rims look too big for the car. Kind of like an offset, or something

dont listen to him, those wheels look perfect on a black coupe. With a lower stance, your car will look even more amazing

Default My car's hurting for a paint job

Have you ever been out to California, cause my car's hurting dor a paint job Your car looks really good, I'm jealous . Do you have any experience painting cars? I've been thinking about painting mine for a while, but with that money I could easily put myself in the low 13's. It's kind of a hard decision, but it'd be a lot easier if I were to paint it myself like you did. our car looks a lot better, good job. Take care, Keith
