![]() Since 96' I've been building up my 93 LX to properly support a supercharger and still get alot of miles out of my engine. I have spent quite of bit of time and money on the car to see NOS ruin what I've worked so hard on. I say this because of what happened to a friend of mine about 3 years ago. He had a 96' cobra which he did most of the work on including installing a 125 shot NOS system. He had a shop check out his install job and everything checked out good. So off we went to run the car at Rockingham's dragway. On his third run, the nitrious purge or whatever the techincal term is,must have got clogged and sent it back into the engine. The heads were ripped from the block, stripping the head bolts, and sent the heads into the hood. The air intake, throttle body, injectors, distributor and quite a bit of other parts were all mangled and ruined. He had to spend more money to fix the car than he did getting it to point before he took it to the track. That one time put me off ever installing NOS on my car, I'll just go with the supercharger. I'm sure not everyone has had this kind of bad experience, I guess I'm worried this will happen to me and I sure as hell don't want that. Sorry my story was so long. Later.
