Default antifreeze...where is it coming from??

I had to bypass the heater core tonight on my '88GT. I notice below where the heater core enters the firewall, down near the exhaust, there is a tube coming from the firewall that is dripping antifreeze. What is it? It never dripped like that before.
This short tube doesn't go anywhere and I didn't cut any hoses.
Is it somehow connected to the heater core inside the car?
Please help.
