Sounds like a weak coil or a problem with the fuel supply. What do the plugs look like after this happens? Is there any pinging or detonation? What is your cranking compression in each cylinder?

I'm betting it's the coil.

You can measure the resistance with a DMM set to ohms.

With the coil completely disconnected, measure;

1) Across the primary terminals (where the small wires go).
It must be between .3 and 1.0 ohms.

2) Between the negative primary (dark green wire) terminal and the secondary output terminal (where the "coil wire" that goes to the distributor cap goes).
It must be between 8 and 11.5 K-ohms.

If it fails either test AT ALL, the coil must be replaced.

Or, if you have a known good one, just substitute it and test drive it.

Take care,
~Chris

its most likely your mass air meter, could be your coil though. change your coil and if thats not it, ITS YOUR MASS AIR

I was presuming there weren't any codes. Have you checked?

Even if they are not related, you should always try to correct the codes first. I really wish you had mentioned them earlier, although I still think it may be your coil. I'd like to see the KOEO codes.
