Default Possible Fuel pump failure

Wuz up guys. OK last night I turned on my stang and the fuel pump whined really funny and low and shut off really quick. The car started but then shut off. Now everytime I open the ignition I don't hear the pump whining on. I really want to say its my fuel pump but how do I know for sure???? What about the fuel pump relay?

Check the pressure at the schrader valve and have someone turn your key on for you to see if the pumps putting up pressure. My factory pump signed off at 145,000 miles.
