Unhappy Oil leaking from pan after Vortech install

I was installing oil drain-back fitting. The instructions say to clean around where your going to put the hole. Well there's a leak now about 1" away from fitting in the middle of nowhere. A friend of mine tried to clean his pan and his leaked through pan too. Is there a fix for this like JB weld or something? A guy from work told me about some marine stuff he used on his pan. I would normally use this as an excuse to buy a canton or such, but I have 351 project that I will get a nice pan for. Should I just put in new stock pan ($59 from summit) or chrome stock ($69 from summit)?
