Roll cage painting

What is the best type of gun to paint a roll cage? I was thinking of using an airbrush, but even with the tip at its widest, it will take a long time to pain.

I painted mine with expensive 3M bumper paint from a spray can.
Llike 1 can primer, $8 black x 2 cans, + Clear over that.

I used primer (2 layers) and paint (2 layers) from a regular spray paint can (An relatively expensive brand) from Wal-mart and Home Depot. IT works great!

Sorry bout the piece of crap quality pics, but you get the idea.

Does anyone have a problem with the paint being scratched off?
I did that on the passengers side and the paint has scrapes in it all over the place.
I thought there might be a better way.

I honestly don't have problems with the paint being scratched off. But also, I have roll cage padding on most spots that you would usually come in contact with , as you can see and I dont' drive the car every day. only weekends. The think is, if somehow it ever gets scratched really bad (which I don't see happening), All I have to do is go to Wal-mart, buy a $4 can of paint and be done with it.
