Default Anyone running HV oil pump in stock pan?

Is anyone running a HV oil pump in the stock oil pan. I installed my oil pump tonight and went to install the oil pan and the pump hits the bottom of the oil pan.
I later read in the instructions that a HV pump may cause interference problems with the pan and that mods might be needed to make it work.
I was just wondering if anyone else ran into this problem before.
I think I'm going to send the pump back to Summit and tell them I want a standard oil pump.
