![]() Here is my predicament. AFR 225's Vs. Brodix 201/202"s
The Afr's consistanly out flow the Brodix heads in the Exhaust. But are almost equal at .600, But until then alot lower in the lowere lift numbers. The Brodix heads, however, spank the AFR's in the intaka side all the way through the range, and will Flow 370 to AFR's 312 at .600. My cam is 112 LS 240 intake 248 exhaust. And lifts .576 in. .585 ex. I am going to use 1.7 rockes on my 408 and will be spinning this thing to 7,000. Will the restrictive exhaust of the Brodix make them not worth the extra money b/c they will not out perform the AFR's by enough? Especialy seeing as how my exhaust is favored in Lift and Duration.mAny thoughts? JOn Light Em Up!!! ![]() Last edited by NoSlow5.0; 11-17-2003 at 03:40 PM.. |

![]() The motor is a 408 that i will spin to over 7,000 rpm. My goal is At least 600 N/A hp. I should be able to achieve this no problem with the right heads. The 225's were my first choice for a long time until i stumbled upon the flow data for the Brodix 202's. Now i am waivering.
The mill is also being built for a healthy shot of love. I figure with the VE of this thing, a 200 shot should net me almost 250-260. It will see street duty occasionally on nice summer days and cruise ins. That is about it so i am not worried about highway and around town cruising at low rpm. All said and done i would like this thing to put down a stout 900 hp on the bottle. |

![]() I would go with the Brodix heads. The AFR's flow #'s are not accurate.

![]() How far off do you presume the AFR #'s are? I don't want to spend a butt load of money on this motor to be dissapointed with it's #'s. Especially if it is because the heads are too restrictive.

![]() The AFR's are damn good heads they just exaggerate the flow #'ers by testing there heads differently than the industry norm.
You really cant go wrong either way, they are both bad @ss heads. Brodix has been around a while though and I trust there stuff

![]() I would love to get the Brodix heads, but i am starting to waiver on those now b/c the dealer that sells them misquoted the price. He said they were about $2,000 which is right were the AFR's are. That price however, was for the Track 1 heads. The B202 heads run $4,500. I am still considering them because i think they would make hella power, but dam are they pricey. If i could find a shop that sells both and would let me Dyno them then decide, or let me buy both then return the ones that loose it would be great. The Brodix just might be worth the extra $$$. Any body know people that run the 225'2 or 202's and have some power #'s?
