'99 LS1 Vs. '00 LS1

Hangin out with the car club last night as usual, and a guy there has a '00 Trans Am (A4, 3.73's, Mac headers/Y pipe, flowmaster cat-back, LS1 Edit, Lid, Heads, Cam, LS6 Intake). All the bolt ons and then some wants to run my A4, 2.73 geared, N/A LS1.

So i say sure, and i have a passenger and he has one. First run we go from 30 mph on 3 honks. Dead even start. Top of my 1st i have .5 a car on him. hit 2nd and my momentum stops (2.73's ). Then i get back into the power and start to pull hard. Let off at 90 with him a good 1.5 to 2 cars behind me.

Next we go from a stop at a deserted light. Well i was watching the other light trying to get a jump when my buddy hits my leg b/c the light turned green i nail it, and the DR's hook decent. He pulls a good 1.5 cars on me at 1st then i reeled him in and was even by the end of my 1st 2nd comes my momentum stops b/c of my gears and we are even for a second then I start to pull again. Let off at around 85 or so a half a car ahead. I was starting to put it on him by then. So anymore would have been me putting more distance on him.

But it was some fun runs and we are suppose to met up again at the track. Thought i would share.
