Default Satuday night Rain Delay.

Well, the Stang got all clean and prettified for its first night out on the streets. Just as soon as I finished washing it, it started raining, and has not let up since. Sucks!

Got a few more small tweaks to the exhaust to do, have to retorque the header bolts, put the K&N back in, throw the stock filter away, check my rear end howl (Think its a bad pinion bearing) tommorrow.

Well, the intial test drives were not rained out, and all I really have to say is.....Holy CRAP!!

Ummm.....It sure does suck down the gas also. God darn.

Only problem I had was finding a dam IAC (Idle Air Control motor) that worked. Went through 2 bad ones, finally my freind produced one that worked at the car idled where it needed to.

The sparatic/high idle threw Tim C, Gremlin and I for a curve at first. Figured it was the mass air meter causing the problems. After some diagnosing, we all came to the conclusion that the IAC has crapped. So, scrounging around we went. Finally a phone call to another friend yeilded one off a cop car. Changed those out at the parking lot, and WHAM. Idling where it should be. Much more "Pleasant" to drive.

Gotta where alot more cologne though, or carry a bottle in the car so I wont smell like unburnt gas everytime I get out of the car.

All I have to say is WOW, those 6 months of waiting and working was sure worth it.

Now I gotta save up for a full suspension.
