Ok here's the problem, I've got a set of 1"-5/8 long tube headers on my 5.0L, but I keep having my clutch cable rubbing against the header and melting.

I've tried wrapping the cable in a heat shield with no luck. This will make cable #2 that's melted. I'm looking at wrapping both the headers and cable in a heat shield or making a braket to keep the cable pulled slightly away from the pipes. Anyone else know a way to keep my cables from melting and becoming useless??
