Re: Cleaning Fox Headlights?
I used a product called Flitz. They have a diffrent polish or cleaning compound for diffrent types of materials. My headlights were hazed over really bad when I got the car. Its going to get new light assy,s soon but car needs painted. Iam not changing them until then. Flitz has a polish for plastic that took 90% of the haze off my lens. Not 100% but helped alot. Hope this helps.

Re: Cleaning Fox Headlights?
Theres a couple of companys out there with polishing systems etc. Basically you get what you pay for, some of the polishing compounds work well, but it takes a lot of elbow grease. Even using generic paint polishing compounds, but I gave up and just got a set of clear corners and lenses (which are already starting to turn ). but hey, I'm lazy

Re: Cleaning Fox Headlights?
A company called NOVUS makes an excellent plastic polish. Like they said above, expect 90% and lots of elbow grease. I've actually even masked off the paint, and carefully used a buffer with some sucess.
Good luck!

Re: Cleaning Fox Headlights?
Don't laugh, but I use Bon-Ami cleanser. Located in your cleaner section of walmart. I think its a buck a can.
Ive used it for years on windshields to cut off the grime. (Its the only cleanser recomended to clean glass with.) Will not scratch. Also takes off the yellow on plastic headlights.

Re: Cleaning Fox Headlights?
45 years ago I worked at a Humble gas station (now Exxon). Part of my job was to keep the plate glass exterior of the office area spotless. Guess what I was instructed to use. That's right, Bon-Ami. I made a paste of the cleanser and water and applied it like you would a car wax. After it hazed over, I would remove it with a dry towel and elbow grease. The glass came out perfectly clean and polished to shine. My bet uis that that technique will work well on plastic headlight covers as well.

Re: Cleaning Fox Headlights?
You can also wet sand them and buff them with a buffer if you have one. I've done many that way and they look brand new. Same goes for that 3rd brake light on the deck lid of the 99 - 04 Stangs. They take a beating but come out looking new with some wet sanding and buffing..
