door handles
when i open the doors on my vert i have to pull the door handles up twice as far as i have to on my hatch it had the oe handles on it when i got it so i figured after 135+k on it the handles where just wore out so i got new ones and still have the same prob its like i pull them up to where i should have to to get the door open then i lift another half pull higher to get them to work any ideas thanks in advance

i dont know if i would know the diff between a bent one and an unbent one do you think it may just need some type of straightening

I just replaced mine not to long ago and had a similar problem it was a bent rod and I never installed any type of door handler prior to this and was able to tell what was wrong and just bend it back into place. Just take off your inner door panel and it might take a few tries but bend the rod until your handle is back in its stock location when you open the door. I believe www.50resto.com sell's replacment bushings and other door parts if you dont have a local scrap yard around just incase you need to replace anything, hope I could help.
