![]() I will start putting my engine back together next week and I went way over budget putting my new 331 together. I have a 70mm t-body, ported 6037 edelbrocks and typhoon intake (ported lower), and 1 5/8 shortys. Can I get away with using my stock injectors for this coming season with a 255lph fuel pump and a adjustable regulator. I don't have any money left for a new mass air meter and 24 injectors. Should I risk running my engine lean or can I run this way until I save up for the injectors and meter (probably used to save $$$). I need a solution because my visa is on the verge of melting from over use.

![]() If you really don't have the cash then it CAN be done. Just turn the fuel pressure up.
But really for about another $200 bucks you can get a meter and injectors if you scrouge around ebay and the classifeds here and on other mustang boards.

![]() You will have to run about 65-70 psi on the stockers. Set the fuel pressure and then go make a 1/4 mile run and pull the plugs and see how they look.

![]() what's the point in putting all that money into the rest of the combo and then skimping on the fuel side?
put 30's in it, and don't look back

![]() well like they said you can make it but i advise not to go to a track untill you get injectors and a meter. Likely to blow the motor.

![]() You're going to burn the engine down with 19lb/hr injectors on a 331 stroker with HCI. Especially with old injectors that have over 100k on them.
