Post Biggest tires possible?

I want to know what the largest rear tire i can run on a fox body without cutting the floor up. I am not sure what the rules of the local track are but will find out this weekend. I am not against beating the fender wells with a hammer or something but dont want to cut. Also what about not running quad shocks. the car is currently a 4 banger and I dont think it has quads on it. Is that factory? I will be using an 8.8 rear but are the quad shocks a necessity?

'93 lx 4 banger, wrecked '90 lx 5.0, w/ t-5. .030 over fully ported and polihed (did that just to see if I could-first attempt at it).

Cocked, locked and ready to rock

Cool

pony, I've got 255's in the back and 235's upfront. I think I could squeeze 245's upfront and 275's in the back......but enough's enough !

i currently have 265/50/15 on stock turbines, they fit no problem and the bulge is quite minimal. they are 26 in tall. they do not touch anything at all so you could go wider, especially if you reduce the aspect ratio, put on larger rims and remove the quad shocks. i've heard of some 285 35 17 fitting but only heard of someone having it, didnt see it.
