![]() I just bought a bone stock 93 GT, (Air Silencer still in place) in really good shape. And like any good mustang owner, I know that it won't last very long being completely stock. I was looking around getting pricing for the old "intake, cam, heads" upgrade, and I heard about the explorer intakes. I did some of my own research and found that the lower intake was GT-40, and the upper was similar to a cobra as far as performance. My question is, is it true? And what, if any, mods do you have to do to get it under the hood? Any information I get would be useful as I plan to do the swap myself. Thnx

![]() Yes it is true. I had one on mine, but I bought one that did not have EGR that worked with the Mustang. You will also have to drill and tap for the ACT sensor. I ended up putting a Cobra on mine simply because I wanted it to be smog legal. If you don't care about the smog, I'll give you a deal on mine with a 65mm EGR spacer. E-mail me if you're interested. If you're looking for one with EGR, I think it's 96 and later, but I'm not sure.
