Question Stock power rack to manual rack???

I know I have seen numerous topics about this but how did you guys do it again? Take all the lines off and plug the stock rack with or without fluid, how is it. I really want to put a Flaming River rack in my car but I have enough to do this winter and the extra cash isn't available. Any ideas?

Rick
