![]() Depends on how loud you are talking. I have a new 190lph fuel pump and it still whines or humms. It is not as loud as the old one. My point is, my new one has whined from day one. You can't always here it. I know from experience the whine changes depending on the amount of gas in the car. Either way it shoudn't be a deciding factor in purchasing the car. Ask the guy to show a receipt for the fuel pump.
