scratch remover
any recommendations on a good scratch remover? would zymol be ok to use? thanks!

Well my BF works at a Lincoln Mercury dealership and he says that Car Chem makes awesome car wax/scratch remover. All I know is that you use two to get the best result. A white and a pink gel-like wax. I'll see exactly what it is but I do know its rather expensive.

Since you have a relatively new car (2001), I would think that your scratches are just surface scratches. Try a few coats of Zaino Z5 or any other kind of polish, wax. Zaino will last a few months and the "off the shelf" brand will last a few days.
If you want to try something more abrasive, try 3M scratch remover. It's for surface scratches but it will take some of your clearcoat with it. Instead of "filling" the scratches, it takes away the clearcoat until it's at the level of the scratches thus "taking them out" so to speak. If this is confusing...it's because I'M TIRED!!!
