Default NOS strikes again-stupid ricers

I have a friend, who will never learn. He put Nitrous on his car about a month ago.

Well, a couple of days ago, he was street racing on the freeway to San Fran. Not sure where, but durring the race, he missed a gear, over reved the engine, and ate up everyone of his spark plugs. He's not sure yet if his engine is shot too. I'm guessing he burned up all his valves, by looking at the Spark plugs.

Of course he was use the "NOS"!

What is this ricer stuff its not the car its the person that owns it because I know a lot of import lovers (there cars guys just like us but they choose hondas, mitsu, etc.etc....) my buddy has a low 11sec. to high 10sec. honda crx and he likes mustangs and all fast cars for that matter. the ricers are the guys with these 3ft wings and a crap load of sickers. dont get me wrong most of the guys that pull up and rev on us are ricers because they just got a new typer R sticker (that addds 50hp to the wheels) and yes a lot of them are little punks but not all import guys are ricers
yes I know you all hate me now .

I, for one, don't hate you. I even understand what you are saying. I just don't completely agree with it. In my world, any vehicle built in, or who's roots are from Japan, is rice, or a ricer. Period. Now, that's not to say that all ricers are bad, or that only Japanese vehicles can be riced out. I agree with your theory as to what makes a vehicle "riced out", or riced. This can happen to any vehicle, of any origin. I also agree with you that there are imports from Japan that are not what I would consider riced out, but they are still, none the less, rice. This has been the truth among those I know for over 20 years, including those that do quality work on Japanese vehicles.

Take care,
-Chris

I had a friend that blew up his motor in his Civic, it actually was a nice car, but he's very ignorant when it comes to taking advice. I insisted that he should not run platinum plugs with Nitrous (naws to him of course). Well he went out looking for races that night and guess what? He fried his motor on his first run. A combination of platinum plugs, too much timing advance, low octane gas and he was way too greedy (150 shot). Anyway, he doesn't understand why I can still juice my car, even though I use "cheap copper plugs", and low timing and good gas. Some ricers, I tell ya......

Its not just the plugs timming and gas he put 150 shot into a motor that might make 150hp on its own but most likely less then that and I assume that the bottom end is stock can we say BOOOOOMMMM

150 shot is even hard on a v8, I can't imagine it on a stock 4 banger.

Hey joe did he ever run that civic at the track? From what people tell me it was fast but anymore you can't go by what people tell you because they think everydamn honda with rims and exhaust is the fastest thing on the road. Dumbass highschool kids. did he have anythnig else besides the nitrous?

James, as far as I remember, it was quick for what it is, 14.9's or something like that, but a well driven 5.0 would kill it, he got rid of it last year I think. Now he's got some new ricer Honda Del Sol or SiR, I dunno, I don't really care. Gonna take a lot more than a 140hp motor in that car to beat a lot of guys around.
