Default bad weather in MS.....pics.

Damn, it got bad here last night. Some huge thunderstorm super-cells rolled through. Spawned some tornatoes, one when over out house (you could hear it), but luckly it did not touch the ground. but there was some nickel and golfball sized hail (the LX and the GT were snuggled away). And some pretty nasty 50-70mph straight line winds. The power went off about 3:00 yesterday and came on a few minutes ago (about 8:00, Mon). It knocked out 5 of the 8 windows on the west side of the house. There are some pics of a damages. I might get some more later.

L8ter,
Josh, aka tireburner

Sounds like a wild night. We're just now getting into the season. It's been quiet the last couple of years for the most part. Only a couple of medium sized outbreaks. Might be more active this year.

I've also had tornados jump the house...pretty freaky stuff. Glad you're safe.

As for winds...come out to West Texas. It's pretty routine for 40-50 mph winds on clear days. I've seen the air so brown that you'd swear there was more dirt in the air than on the ground. One storm in particular I remember we had sustained 70 mph winds with one fatty 90 mph gust. That blew some stuff down.

Keep one eye to the sky.

I'd go take a picture out side, but there's almost too much snow to open the door. Even then, with the 50 mph winds, snow and ice, I'd probably drop my camera while shivering.

Cool

It is almost 7:00am, We are getting hammered. I need to go to work and bring my daughter to school. I tilled up my front yard Sunday, so I can pour a cement driveway, that is now a slopp hole from hell. I HATE RAIN. I am not an inside person. I wonder how many FEET of rain we had so far?
