Unhappy t-5 identification woes

i have an 87 gt 5.0. i am doing a transmission rebuilt after my second gear syncro has failed.

i am to the point where i need to know the number for the transmission so i get the right rebuild kit. the metal tag that should be on my t-5 is gone. I found a number on the main and tail case. when i ran those numbers i got that it was from a "Ford 1984 Mustang/Capri 5.0 V8"

T-5 Transmission ID'er

tail housing: 13-52-066-939
main housing: 13-52-065-921

i will be SERIUOSLY pissed if that it true... correct me if not, but if that is true, i have a non WC t-5. any help with ID? i cen get you pictures if you would like.

The case numbers are useless unless you have that tag.

Call Hanlon Motorsports (hanlonmotorsports.com), they'll be able to figure out what you have and get you the right kit. They also stock most of the parts if you're within driving distance.

Good luck,

Rich D.
