caliper upgrade?
Are there any caliper upgrades you can do on a 87-93 11" braking system? i.e. cobra calipers, aftermarket calipers? thanks in advance.

Re: caliper upgrade?
Yes, you can upgrade to a dual piston PBR caliper that will fit the factory rotors. This can be ordered from Advanced Auto Parts even. Though, I will warn you; I ordered calipers through them in a last minute effort to get my car on the road and was not too pleased with the quality of the 'remanufactured' caliper. They are relatively inexpensive and can have the part within a day, but their quality control sucks ass. You may have to send a few back before you find any worth using.

Re: caliper upgrade?
There are a lot of places that sell Bullit and Cobra 13" brake kits for pretty cheap too. Only catch is you'll need to upgrade to newer spindles to make them work, and even from a junkyard the spindles often end up costing 1/2 as much as the brake kit.

Re: caliper upgrade?
I put the PBR 13" Cobra brakes on my 1989 Mustang (aka M2300K kit). Drove it like that for many years, and is really quite adequate for most any weekend racing.
Getting serious, I finally bought the 2000R Brembo calipers.
