Re: speed density vs carb
I vote CARB! Of course I'm old school, and really don't know too terrible much about the finer points of fuel injection.
It's my understanding that the mass air conversion really isn't that big of a deal, and I'm sure some of the "fuelie" guys on here could help you out with it! But for the record, I vote carb! hehehehe

Re: speed density vs carb
I'd go with the fuel injection Mass-air conversion. You'll get the most out of your combo with the mass-air. Don't go with the speed density. I'd vote carb over SD. But mass-air is the way to go. Way easier to tune than the carb setup IMO.

Re: speed density vs carb
The SD will work with what you are building. And you all ready have it. A carb intake you can find used, my sugg would be a torquer (spelling) A carb, yea you can "find" a good one, but a real good one will be about $700.00+ ( a "real" good one) Is fuel economy any concern to you? SD. Is cold weather startup going to come into the picture? SD. Emission checks? SD. Will you be racing boys that think that you can not use SD, and because of it you will be slow? SD. I just ran 11.80s on SD. with a weak short block, it lasted a month. Really the choice is yours, and once it is done and right either one will get the job done.
