Are alt. wires any good
i am having this prob with my alt. not charging the battery. the alt is brand new and tested it, and is good. the clips however look like crap and corroded, so i think that may be a prob. is there any way to test the clips or wires, to see if they have juice, and how much and where is they do have juice. i am about 2 seconds and a book of matches away from fixing this car...for good..

Re: Are alt. wires any good
If the alt tests good, and the connections are suspect........

Re: Are alt. wires any good
there are two wires you can put a DVM on, I believe the yellow wire should have a constant 12v always, as this is how the alt monitors the battery to switch on or not. The other line, I think it's a white wire, should have a 12v when the ignition switch is in the run (not start) position.
