headliner falling down in back
Hey guys I just bought a 2000 gt and my headliner in the back near the rear window is sagging down. Word of mouth is that all it is is a simple glue that the factory uses to keep it in place. But the guy I bought the car from put his own tint on and did a realy bad job so it would suprise me if he rigged up the headliner. Any help on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated.

Re: headliner falling down in back
Yeah it's a urethane based adhesive that holds the factory headliners up!!.
I have installed a few new headliners under warranty and I have had a heck of a time removing them as the adhesive is extreemly strong and tends to warp roof tops easily upon removal!! They all seem to sag either in the front or out back...I guess it's beacuse a lack of adhesive in these areas. Oh and don't think you can just simply remove it either....you will destroy it! I must say this is the first time I have ever seen an automaker to use only an adhesive to hold up a headliner.....total joke in my opinion.........and yes mine is saging in the front so much that I can see the backer board!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
