Well I have had it both ways. I have had girls that loved to race and talked more crap about my car than I do. Then i have had the girls that couldn't stand me flooring it in my truck. I would much rahter have the girls that loved to be in the mustang with me when i was racing

Rocket99 !!! it must suck to have such a nice rocket and have to keep on half throttle cuz of the wife.

I must admit I have my worries too. I'm already running out of time all the time with the business, my G/F complains I don't "cuddle" here enough, and next on the list is my first new born due in a month now. When am I gonna have time for the stang and the boyz???? You know it worries me, but the wife is so proud of the stang, I'm sure I will still get my time, just not as much.

I need to train her like that Korean Girl (Mercury) hehehe

I get flack, but not from my hubby. My 63 year old grandmother is always telling me I'm gonna kill myself. I think she's just worried that if I do keel over at the track, her life insurance policy will be null and void

Hey Lizard King, I hope you mean train her to instigate races and not the other thing.

Oh, and I got her back good for what she did to me. Theres nothing quit as satisfying as revenge (well accept for waxing my arch racing enemy in a race). She got it tenfold. Still puts a smile on my face. .

Ok, Now I'm insulted and I have to rebuttle to the LIzardKing. I have never asked him (the LizardKing) to stay home on a Friday or Saturday night or even a week night for that matter passed 10:30 if I was going to sleep and yes it was to cuddle (not going to bother with anything else, all he thinks about is racing on those nights) but come on, the races don't start until 11. It gives him plenty of time to stop, fuel up and get there with time to spare and organize himself.

I USED TO never ever complain of him racing except if I thought he was going a bit overboard with emotion, but now I have 25 lbs of baby strapped to my stomach and the slightess accelaration makes it go up, down or to the side. SO yes, I complain when I'm caught off guard by a sudden jerking of the car into hyper speed because he's being to insensitive or selfish to realize it F***ING HURTS!!!!!!!!!! (sorry but it's true)

So big man here can stop complaining because he's the most spoiled little brat that doesn't know what he's got.

I won't ask him not to do mods, I won't ask him not to race. I did however ask him not to race so often because 20 races a night 2 nights a week is a lot to ask, even from a Stang and I don't want this baby to break.

Thank you
p.s. BTW, I will never be tamed. And this summer, he'll get to stay home and I'll steal the car to go race and play. MWAHAHAHAHA (I can't right now, because I can no longer reach the pedals in the car.)

Ok these posts are just too funny not to get in on! My wife doesn't mind me racing at the track so much, but she has a pretty weak stomach in a car. I'll get it just a little sideways and she's ripping the armrest off the door. If I nail it down into 2nd for a little action, she's tearing off the door panel. Its just too nerve-racking to have somebody like that sitting next to you when you are trying to concentrate! So I try not to race too much, sometimes I just can't pass it up though.

hey Rocket 99GT, I carry a ski mask in the trunk if you need some help!

My wife has no problem with me racing. One race was a tad bit too close so she authorized the gear purchase. She even races Corvettes in the Mountaineer. Not that she wins or anything.

It's funny, whenever I'm out in the Mustang, I never get lined up against anything. When I'm out in the Mountaineer or Probe, I always have Z28s, Corvettes, Mustangs, etc. swarming around me. Why is that?

I have an ex-girlfriend who i am still good friends with. I have owned 4 different Stangs in the past, but that was before we met. She never understood why i liked Mustangs so much. She said there was no reason anyone needed a car with that much power, and that racing was just silly. That was before i got my current Stang. After i got this car, i took her out in it and told her to drive it just once. She started driving and was shifting at like 2500rpm. I told her to really step on it and not to shift until she hit 5000rpm. One quick blast through the gears and she instantly understood what i had been talking about for so long. She was smiling and said she was now thinking of getting a new GT instead of an SUV. It was really cool to convert someone to the "dark side." lol Sorry this post is so long, just wanted to share.

My girl doesnt mind too much if I race. If its at a stoplight sometimes she'll go "NO....NO..."then the light turns and the NO turns into NOOOSHIITT! She usualy waits with the crowd if its street racing and she always goes to the track with me. But she hates to admit that she really likes it.
