It's not like I've never had a gun pulled on me you dork. What's your problem anyway? 69fastback decided to make a statement, he left out a word which completely changed the meaning of his sentance, and then he blatently disrespected the people who make his job possible.

Maybe it's the soldiers who should be kissing the civilians asses?? I think that would be logical. Otherwise you'd be going to war with sticks and rocks. Who do you think built all the weaponry that we have at our disposal? Who works to provide the best equipment to keep our boys safe? So how bout shutting the f up. We make sacrifices, you make sacrifices. The lack of respect for me, since I don't carry a gun and practice shooting it all day is misplaced.

Dude, I've just read every single post you've ever made on this board. Aside from consistantly trying to start a riot anytime somebody mentions brand x, your uncalled for disrespect of 90dpscoupe in the SRC, I've found you to be a good member of this site.

There is no doubt to me that 69fastback, whom I have agreed with a ton of times and I find to be a great member on this site, disrespected the civilians, and inadvertantly made a typo that was every bit interpretable as being offensive to the non military, American citizens.

A word of advice though, disrespecting senior members, and the rest of the civilians on this board is a bad way to make a good impression.

I have no desire to start a huge fight on this thread. I'll choose to aim my anger at the people responsible for this situation instead.

Silly boys, the Packers will beat the Raiders 37 to 19 in Super Bowl 36 (that's right Unit, I was born in Wisconsin).

Professional technicians can join iATN here.

Okay, that's in their words. In mine, it's killer. They have an email program in which members can send out a "help" email describing a problem they're having, and it will be sent to all of the members who have that make of vehicle and type of problem selected in their email preferences. Usually, you will receive a dozen or more replies within an hour or two with solutions to your problem. These aren't guesses, they are solutions from other pros who have experienced what you're going through, and know the answer. You will receive emails from other techs having trouble (I receive close to 70 a day), and if you can help, send them an email. If not, delete it. After a tech fixes the problem, they post a "fix" email describing what the solution was. This is great for learning about new problems in new and old vehicles. I have posted a help email 3 or 4 times in the 3 years I have been a member, and received excellent help, quickly, every time.

There are also several message boards as well as factory supplied vehicle and tool info from sponsors like GM, Ford, Snap-on, Fluke, and dozens of others.

This is 100% free. You do have the option to become a sponsoring member for $10 a month, which adds features like access to the entire email "fix" post database, where you can punch in the vehicle and type of problem, and see all of the fix posts ever made for it (usually hundreds), but you don't have to. I tried it out for free for a few months, and then after getting such excellent help with my first "help" post, I decided $10 a month was a bargain. That's me though. There is no pressure to upgrade your membership. They are completely non-profit. I recommend trying it out and see if you like it. If you decide later to upgrade, great! If not, great! It doesn't matter. There's even more to tell, but this isn't really the place. Check it out, and if you have any questions, just email me at:
pkrwuds@pacbell.net .

BTW, I am nothing more than a sponsoring member. I don't get a thing if someone signs up. I do not work for iATN in any manner. This is just so killer, I like to share it with everyone eligible.

Check it out!

Take care
~Chris

I've always wondered what that was all about Chris

I'm glad you guys (Unit and marty) finally got your problem sovled. I felt the same as Unit did about 69Fastback's initial post but decided to show him I support him instead of argue. In any other circumstances I would have laid into him for his disrespect of the civilian population but now is not the time.

Unit was correct. If it were not for all the civilians making all the bombs, planes, tanks, etc. the armed forces we have today would be nothing more than a bunch of guys with sticks and stones. I have worked in a factory (during Desert Storm) putting in ungodly hours pumpimg out millitary semi trailors which had these walls that expanded out on them. They were used to house computer equipment I believe. Just because I don't carry a gun how doesn't mean I'm not helping man

I now work for an Aerospace firm. I pulled double shifts Thursday and Friday night working from 3:30 in the afternoon to 6:00-7:30 in the morning. I do this all the time. I've seen 70 hour work weeks. This is not standing in the line of battle holding a gun, but the biggest part of the stuff we make is developmental parts which are used to test engines so they can see what happens inside them. It all benefits the U.S. armed forces somehow in the end. We are all working together here.

Hey PKRWUD

Q. Why do Packer fans always have an outhouse at their weddings?

A. To keep the fly's off the bride.

Q. Why did the Packer fan burn his lips on a tailpipe?

A. Some Arab sent him to blow up a car.

So there was a Vikings fan, a Redskins fan, a Cowboys fan, and a Packers fan walking along up the side of a mountain.

When they got to the top, the Redskins fan was so moved he shouted out "This is for all the Redskins fans back in Washington!!!" as he threw himself off the cliff.

The Cowboy's fan, not to be outdone by the Redskins fan shouted "This is for all the fans back in Dallas!!!" and through himself off the cliff.

Then, suddenly, the Minnesota Vikings fan yelled "This is for all the Vikings fans back in the state of Minnesota!!!" as he through the Packers fan off the cliff.

LOL
