Well there is no 18" tire in the world that will hook up great, BUT bfgoodrich has started making their different style drag radial in an 18" version, so thats something you might want to check out in the future.

Thats a good start on suspension mods. Next thing you might want to look into is a good set of rear control arms. Under high load, the stock ones can flex and can cause all sorts of traction problems. Another thing to think about for the future.

About the FMU, you have a few options. You could either use 36's and no FMU, and although your idle and streetability won't be QUITE as smooth as stock, it won't be bad.
Or you could use 24's and an FMU, which I do not reccomend. I'd rather have the injectors working at a lower duty cycle, than be pushing them harder with the FMU.

fyi, 36's and an FMU would be overkill for your combo

hope this helps some,

-Drew

If not little faster with 350rwhp.

Just thought of somethingelse, what are your suggestions for running colder spark plugs/which brands are best?

definately go cooler, we did on our blown app and it ran very well, we stuck with Autolites. I also think 36lbers will be an overkill.

With no FMU and his "goal" of 400RWHP 36# injectors would be perfect.

I agree...36lb. injectors sound right on the money. Definitely not over kill IMO.

36# injectors seems to be the consensus. But I'm still not sure about sparkplugs, is there any kind of standard for how much cooler I should go and if any brands work better for blown applications.

Care to elaborate?

I think the SysteMax II a great intake, just not the perfect intake for every application. It's too big for a 6000 rpm max, 306 cid, n/a engine. It works great on larger displacement engines w/ more rpm or an engine with a blower. One thing I didn't like was how it's runners didn't match up very well to my AFR 205 heads. But that's part of the game when you mix and match parts from different manufacturers.

like u stated one reason is the bad matchup with different combos. several of my friends also tried the systemax package and for that price they got ripped off power wise.

The car is a nice weather daily driver in the summer and my goal is 400-500hp but if I can't meet that with my setup that's ok.
i have a cobra intake perfect for that car if your looking for one!

Running a FMU would be OK, I would suggest a progressive one so that it is adjustable.

"I would highly suggest ditching the FMU all together. With just an aftermarket intake, 36lb injectors and no FMU should be fine with a blower." --- As long as it was tunned. If he would have a higher FP at idle, than the car will start to load up. That is what mine is doing now. I need to get it down to 34psi at ide and spike to 60 at WOT. Still working on this, I think my FPR is going south, or I am just dumb, and dont know what the hell I am doing

As far as intakes go, what ever you want, they are ALL better than stock.

I ended up getting a downs box upper intake, only thing left to work with is the fuel system and maf, and then the throttle body. Just have to wait till it gets warm out and me and my buddy are going to do a rebuild and then put all the new toys on.
