One other thing to consider is that depending upon head and cam combination his effective rpm range could have easily moved up a notch. For example - when my coupe was stock, it had much more torque down low, but seemed to die out pretty quick past 4800 or so. Now, with my TW heads and cam, I lost alot of the low end torque, but my horsepower curve really kicks in over 3000, and all the way to 5800 (as evidenced on my last dyno session graph).

So, it's possible that he could have pulled away at higher rpms.

Just an idea.

No need to apologize. I'm not blind nor ignorant.

I had to cut a hole in the hood later so the air filter would fit and then to prevent the rain from fall into the engine, I got an oil drain bucket, pianted it white, and rivetted and siliconed it onto the hood.

Boy I've been through some crap.

Sorry for screwin up your post with all my ugly pics, LK. Jus wanted to show you what ugly really is.

that pic is SOOOOOOOOOOO funny. even if you kicked my a$$ in that car I would still be laughing so hard I would probably even slow down just to watch pieces of it fly off as you were ahead of me.(muffler here, tail light there) awesome pic. the 4 cyl. stang rims totally set off the sleeper look. if that car was anymore of a sleeper it would be dead

Don't feel bad this guy I know has hade this ratty *** 83 or 84 GT and I usually hand him his *** but I ran him the other day and he hurt my feelings but at first he said he tuned it up and he wanted to run me off the bottle I said no prob because I beat him before .Well I leave him out of the hole 5 to 6 cars (Nitto's are great) through 1,2,and as soon as I shifted to 3rd he just ran by me.We stopped and started talking come to find out big *** heads, big cam, tricked out Holley carb but no juice. Iguess I shouldn't feel so bad because Iam on a stock long block. But I told him that it would have been a different story had I juiced him .He's lucky the bottle was at 600psi or I would have had to smoke his *** !!!

Hey fox body...that's funny, your car is ugly in the same places mine is. I have a mismatching front nose and ripped rear bumper cover also....but i've got a leg up becuase i've got an oxidized hood and tops of the fenders . Someday i'll get it painted, but paint doesn't make your car go fast, so it's like #378 on my priority list. I think your car looks mean...if i would have done it over, i would have bought a notch, but oh well.
