Mag times for 1/4 mile and trap speed. I kinda figure, same rider, same result, or at least for trap. For the real power figures, I use dyno charts off my friends dynojet. If it's out there, he's probably run it on the dyno. It's got the high intertia drum, and the new software and all that jazz.

All aluminum 350 race built Boss Hoss with N20, yep. Nearly 500rwhp. The dyno won't measure more than that. Dynojet can set theirs up for it, but they don't let normal people have that software.

XR250, yep.

Old ragged out Harley that looked like somebody pulled out of a swamp down in Daytona with a drunk owner and a pipe that was falling off the head, yep. LOL.

Maybe people rag on Kawasaki because they have had the worlds fastest streetbike for more years than any other motorcycle company in the last 30 years. The big four Jap bike companies all make good ones, but I favor Kawasaki and Suzuki. I am glad Kawasaki doesn't build any crappy little cars and send them over here.

Personally I think all bikes have their good and bad points. Between my dad, mom and I we have 2 Kawi's, 3 suzi's, 4 Honda's, 1 BMW and 1 Norton sitting around the house. I think they all have good and bad points. I don't really have any favorite bike company, they all make a bike I'm interested in. (Well if we consider Buell as a Harley. I don't much care for H-D's not my style.) Right now I'm trying to decide which I want more a Ninja 500R or a suzi SV650. Yamaha doesn't make a naked bike I like and for insurance purposes that's what i need. The Kawi has the better more reliable motor that is well proven and way over-engineered. The SV650 has the handling though. I think I am leaning more toward the suzi.

By the way it was the Kawi KZ1000 that was the top dog back in the day. Suzi countered this threat with the GS100S. One of my all time fav bikes. It's always interesting at the Gap cause my dad has a GS1000S and one of his good friends has a KZ1000. It's fun watching the old rivals duke it out. The KZ has a lot of mods though and they are both damned good riders but the KZ usually pulls off. Not by much though. If any one is curious about what the old 79 GS1000S looks like let me know and I'll get a pic up. You'll never believe it's a 23 year old bike!

Yeah, because that's such an insignificant class and all...

Yeah I know how you feel, Horse...these bike threads always end up this way...they're pretty much yawn-city nowadays I would have stayed away if it weren't for my name in the title

For future reference, don't ask a bike question unless you want to hear EVERYONE'S favorite bike, least favorite bike, opinions, my-friend-works-here, my-friend-rides-this, etc etc etc...

I never said it was an insignificant class. It is on of my favorite classes. As far as the childish bickering goes, it is all BS. All of the top manufactures make great bikes. I will talk a little smack, but I will also be the 1st to tell you I have a great deal of respect for all bikes and I would never seriously tell someone that their bike sucked because of the brand. When I was talking about most drag bikes were Suzuki’s, that is my opinion. I was not saying that no other bikes can keep up. I have just noticed that a good majority of the drag bikes that I have seen are Suzuki’s. At the track and on the street. Around here you will see about 10busas to 1 12r. Not that the 12r can’t keep up or is a bad bike, I just don’t see as many.

Hey, at least it didn't turn into a "cc" war. You know, morons telling you to buy a 900-1000cc for your first bike, then others telling you not to buy anything bigger than a 500, then......blah, blah, blah......bicker-bicker, whine, whine......

I have yet to see alot of my friend ride so and so most has been actual people having actual time in the seat of other bikes

and as for egos who started what drama yea......thought so

Bike topics don't always head south its usually the people who can't handle the fact others don't like their bikes and actually have ridden them and feel they can voice their opinion on that type of bike.
Besides if you want bike info why not go to sportbike site and read up on the HUNDREDS of topics. There is always sportbikeworld.com sportbikes.net cycelworld.com (laff) and lots of boards just brand related.

Dude, I could NOT have said it any better myself

You've gotta realize something though, some people just like to feel important. Let her say her peace, totally IGNORE what she writes (like everyone else does) and eventually she shuts ups.
