Default Cam or Driveshaft????

My girlfriend already told me that she would buy me an aluminum driveshaft. I noticed, right after asking her for the driveshaft, that most of the motorsports cams are about the same price. Which would you suggest?

Now, I know that a custom grind is the best choice, but, between the alphabet cams, which one is about the best? I am going to try to get into all types of racing. I would like to do a little road racing, but my main focus is on drag. Also, what would be the max lift you could have and not have to worry about valve to piston clearence issues? I plan to eventually buy the Roush 200 heads if that helps. I was looking at the X or F cam. The only thing that scares me is the lift on the X cam. I also want to get some roller rockers. Which do you suggest. I know it is a lot of questions and kind of lengthy, but all suggestions will be considered and greatly appreciated. Thanks.

The "B303" did me justice with 1.7 rockers. but then again the E303 with 1.7 rockers was a good cam, as was the X 303 but what it comes down to is... what RPM range you want to turn it and How much power you "want to make" what intake you have as well as the heads.. if your heads dont flow that well on the exhaust people say you need split duration cams, If your efi you need a cam thats gonna make good vacume "spell check that" Nobody out there unless they know what YOU want and what YOUR setup is can say THIS IS THE BEST CAM

Will the x-cam work with stock or 1.7rr's without notching the pistons for clearence? I am looking for all around improvement throughout the rpm range. I know very little about these things and was just trying to get some suggestions. What about the driveshaft, would it be a better investment than the cam?
