Post Digital speedo or tach using stock digital odo

Is there any interest on this message board in learning how to turn the digital odo into a digital speedo or tach. It is a very simple process

Question

Though I prefer analog gauges and I would rather not lose the use of my trip or accumulative odometers, I sure am curious about the process to make the conversion. Is this something you're willing to share for free?

Cool

There's a tech article on Mustangworld's website that shows you how to get it to show up on the display as well as Ford also programmed it to show computer codes and they give you the codes and what they mean in the article.

I am unaware of the page on this site on how to do it but if anyone is interested heres how:
Press the button next to the digital trip and hold while you start the vehicle.
Continue to hold(about 2 sec.)until the display says test.
Release the button-the gauges should sweep and the display should say gage.
Press the trip button several times until the first character in the display is "E". This is a digital display of your speed in "E"nglish units.
Press the button again for "M"etric. The first character will be "M".
Push the button one more time and the display will read tach. Obviously this is engine speed.
There is other information obtained by pressing the button more times but it doesnt mean anything to the average guy.(Such as instrument cluster DTC's)
To go back to the trip press and hold the button once more.
Please let me know if anyone has problems, questions, or comments.

Cool

That's because it's not on this site. It's in the tech article section of www.mustangworld.com/
Mustangworld, not Mustangworks.
