New Mach 1 Press Release.
Be sure to check out the new Mach 1 press release!!!!
Oh my god. When I saw the car in Red my heart stopped, my vision blurred, my lips grew pale and thin. I frantically tried to gasp for air, but my lungs would not react. My brain power and attention was so focused on the Mach 1 images that even the involunatariy functions ceased. Help...Someone. The beautifull images before me are to heavenly for me, a mere Mortal, to take in. Scrolling down the images only furthered my shock. My eyes widened, my jaw dropped, the air supply in my lungs that lingered grew thin. I thought "This is it. Its the end.". I could see the light beaming down on me, and the clouds parting. Just when I could feel myself slipping away. Luckily, when I passed out, I pitched foward and my head hit the power button on the monitor. With the images hidden, my brain reacted. My lungs filled with sweet air. Well not really sweet. I had passed out and fell to the floor and landed next to my old work socks. After a few cigarettes, and a beer I felt comfortable enough to look again. My heart raced, my palms were sweaty. Drool slipped down my chin. I'M IN LOVE. I MUST ORDER ONE! I cant stop thinking about it. Seriously though, I have never had a car get my blood pumping like that before.....JUST FROM SEEING PICTURES OF IT. That got me more pumped up than seeing a 69 428 Cobra Jet in person, or hearing a Mighty 65 GT 350 Shelby Stang idle. Reading the Specs was like a sexaul experience for me. I had to smoke a few more cigarettes, change my underwear and take another shower (All at the same time!). A cold Shower. Now the debate....Zinc Yellow or that Torch Red.....I'm a red man, but that yellow with black accents would be awesome. I'm in Love. One will be in my driveway. I wonder how soon I can order.

I'm still taking short shallow breaths.
I've read the article over like seven times and now have the Mach on in Red as my Desktop. I'm going to go to Crown Ford tommorrow on my way to work and see what they know, and what they can do, and when I can order it. I'd hate to trade my 2000 GT in, its my first New Car and I have become sentimintally attached to it. But I wont have it paid off and I cant afford two car payments. Time to do some number crunching and break out all the collectible stuff I have, and the digital Camera. Time to sell some stuff. Do you think I can call old Underwear "Antique"????? j/k. Anyone into comic book collecting? I got some good ones, some Golden age ones (Mostly Batman, and Detective Comics), Franklin Mint Models, and Old Toys? |

It is definitely cool to see them bringing the Mach 1 back in what appears as an appropriate way. After reading the specs, I was impressed with the various components that are upgraded from a standard GT. Its real nice to see Ford doing this. First the new 390hp Cobra, now a Mach 1 with 300+hp. Even in their bumpy state(economically) they are still keeping the Mustang going. That is always a good thing. I wouldn't expect the Mustang to die like the F-body did anyway, because I think the Original Pony car(the Mustang) has a better following, but I'm glad they're not taking their chances with my favorite form of transportation.
Now, I just have to dig through the couch cushions and find about $27,000 worth of loose change. Hmmmmmmm.........that might be my only problem. Damn, I need to graduate from college and get a job.

That is a freaking awesome car. I want it. My dad currently owns a '69 Mach 1 428 CJR and i get to ride in it all the time as we go to shows and mustang club events. (maybe he will let me drive it soon) But that is an extremely awwesome car. I think it looks better than the Bullitt's. Get one Mercury!
Later, Nick

<-----------NEEDS THAT CAR REAL BAD
Wow I dont think I can survive without one. I love the wheels and the hood with the scoop. What are the performance numbers on it. I hope Ford has some balls and gives it a little more power than just makes it a looks package.
But all in all THAT IS FREAKIN AWESOME Brad

I also love that car. Don't care much for the wheels, but those are easy enough to get rid of. The rest is awesome, especially the seats. Seems as though the demand will be really strong for the 6500 planned units.
Anybody care to wager on what the price will be? I expect low 30's. That will be a bit too much for me |

hey i just finally read the little article on mustangwokrs and had some problems with it. The shaker hood scoop was not part of the Mach 1 packeage. I have seen tons of mach 1s with out the shaker. I also now that cars came with the shaker that are non mach 1s cuz i just happen to drive one. Ok sorry just got a little mad it comes form everyone always thinking my car is a mach 1 cuz of the shaker.

I think it's pretty nice looking. I'm going to try to convince my dad to buy one since I know he wants to get a new car. Guess I'll have to wait to see what it will go for before I ask. =) I think they could of done abit more to it to make it look like the Mach I, They should of seperated the tail lights, I think that would of looked real cool, or the emblem to the side on the front. I still love the car though.
