What's an '01 Haulmark 22'- 8" box, enclosed trailer w/ std hitch worth...
...with a few hundred miles on it? I may be way off (vague) on this question, but figured I'd ask around before searching the net.
A local guy bought it for $8500 and said he got a deal on it, used it to haul a car from point A to B once and has been sitting on his lot since then. My dad has a new LS6 crate motor that the guy is interested in, and I will put up the extra cash to make things even... which brings me to the question of how much, generally speaking of course, would it be worth. The damn thing is like new, with deluxe mag wheels, super clean int. and ext., etc. ...looking for some ballpark figures here. Sorry I couldn't supply more specifics on all the options, so just a generalization would be fine. Thanks, -Ryan |

well considering you can get a 24' pace for $5500..i think that trailer is a little steep. Will he come down on the price any?

Thanks Eric... not sure what I'm going to do yet, but I appreciate your input on the matter. I went to check out the trailer and got the model number off of it and called the place where it was purchased and found out that the list is $5200 My dad is going to see if the guy will trade even up for the LS6... if not then I'll get one with all the options I want, new.
Thanks again bro... |

Man, you should call that guy back, tell him what it lists for, and then offer him $4000.00. Sounds like he was feeding you a line. Good thing you checked on it first!
A lot of people around here run up to ?Minnesota? to get trailers, manufacturer maybe? If you are interested in this I will do some checking. I know of a couple of people around here that have made the trip.

Kevin, I appreciate the offer and will e-mail you about it after I get back with the seller... thank you sir! My dad is going to see if he'll trade the LS6 crate motor for the trailer even up. If not, you'll be hearing from me.

LOL! Hopefully I don't have to travel all the way to Virginia to get a decent trailer. What kind of trailer do you have, btw? I'm not wanting anything really fancy like I see most of the Pro guys using... with lifts on the inside and what not. I'm just a poor boy and can't afford a $150,000+ rig

I know of a 32 foot goose here in Kansas with generator and A/C for $5500. That' a hell of a deal.
I bought a Chaparrel which are now discontinued. Mine has a wench, A/C, lights, generator, and and hydraulic hoist for $7500. Not a good deal but a fair one. If you can, try and find one already equipped. I especially like the hydraulic hoist on mine. Beats the HELL out of cranking after a long day at the track. I would DEFINITLY recommend the hoist!! You can find some really good deals on trailers in National Dragster and maybe racingjunk.com. Of course that is you don't make a deal on the one up there.

Thanks again Kevin.
Hydraulic hoist... you mean you've got a lift inside your trailer? As in, drive up on the ramps and raise up your ride? I was under the impression that such a rig would cost big money, alot more than $7500, anyhow. I want one! lol |

No even better! THis hoist helps in hooking and unhooking the trailer on a gooseneck trailer. Instead of manually having to crank , all I have to do is push a button and the stand on the front of the trailer raises or lowers the trailer until it is hooked or unhooked. Really nice.
It's a hydraulic cylinder that is powered by a separate battery source in the trailer.

I'm not in debt, but my money tree is damn near dried up compared to where I stood, financially, at the beginning of the year...
That is why I'm basically staying with the same combo I ran last year, other than the R-block and different cam & springs, along with a few minor changes to the car itself... that's besides the point though. I just got some info on the NMRA board that I have yet to look into (I'm going through my e-mail and will go back to it later), and the guy mentioned and electric motor that raises and lowers the front of the trailer to make loading the car easier. I started thinking to myself, "I'll bet that's what Kevin was talking about." ...yep! I understand now, and I thank you for sharing all this info with me. -Ryan |
