backfiring
Changed carbs last week and my 85 GT is running amazing now.. with the old carb it used to hesitate and bog down under acceleration,, the only problem now is it backfires.. it doesnt do it a lot and it has done it at both low and high rpms. My thought on this was that the timing was possibly off, I am replacing my MSD distributor next week sometime, for other reasons, but if it still backfires what else could it be possibly be? Thanks

Sugjestion
Make sure your ignition system is in good working order. Check your plugs and plug wires.

You might have to tune the carb a bit. Right now mine does the same thing every once in a while. Usually it will backfire out the carb if its running a bit lean. At least that what i think it is.
