Angry Check Engine Light (What's new)

I had a shop put in a new receiver and since then, there is no signal on my communications port for diags and my check engine light will not go away. It seems to be running lean as well. Is there a link between the stereo wiring harness and the comm port for diags? I have spent so much money and time on this; I have changed all my O2 sensors, $400.00, and a MAF for $250.00. I'm tired of spending money. I hope someone can shed some light on this. Thanks!!

Thumbs down

You need to get someone that knows what they are doing to see what the chop shop radio guy did to it. Then you get the radio shop to pay the bill to fix it. So many times I see cars that are f&*^%d up by so called stereo installers. It is possible that he has toasted the computer for you.

That's kind of what I'm thinking. My car is probably running on raw numbers since it seems to run hot and lean. I reset the battery and run it 10 miles and it goes back the way it was running. Do you know if there is a fuse or something that makes the communications port work? Those guys won't have a clue if I bring it to them. What ever it costs me they will pay.
