New 5.0 coming - Est. RWHP
I have a friend that wants to sell his 92 GT 5.0 aod and get a 90 or 89 GT 5.0 T5. He has made out a list of parts he is going to buy for it and put on and wants to put out about 300 rwhp. With these mods i dont know if he is pushing on 300 at the fly or what but could someone give me a estmate of the fly hp and rwhp with these mods and what kind of 1/4mile could be achieved with this setup :
-140 amp ALT. -70mm Mass Air -70mm Throttle Body -Mac Fender wall Cold Air -24lbs/hr injectors -Aluminum water pump -Underdrive Pullies -3.73 Gears -Aluminum Radiator -Hooker equal length shorties w/ X pipe / Dual chamber Flow cat-back -KK Clutch setup What else should he do if this does not make 300rwhp? thanks bryan |

with those mods he will have 230-235 rwhp. It wont get near 300rwhp without a good heads, cam and intake combo naturaly aspirated.

-140 amp ALT.
-Mac Fender wall Cold Air -3.73 Gears (KINDA) -Aluminum Radiator -KK Clutch setup None of those things will add power... granted they are nice things to have.... but you could save money on that stuff and spend it on stuff that will really make power... I'm sure you can get a nice set of GT40 heads for the cost of the rad and altenator... ditch the fender kit and clutch and you've got an intake -as

Yea i just bought a set of gt-40 heads off an explorer, they are getting ported, i'll update on my 1/4 mile times, i will be using stock 19 lb injtrs, stock intake, and stock cam.
ackbar00, a member here is pushing 298rwhp with a ported edelbrock intk, and edel heads i believe, using stock cam too, i need to see if he has bigger injectors. with my combo i estimate 280rwhp, since my heads will be flowing like mad.

look at my sig
Look at my numbers, I've been told by everyone that they are low, but I didn't hit 300 rwhp with what I have.

He'll only need the 24# injectors if he starts to approach 300 rwhp.
350 HP (flywheel) is about 300 RWHP, assuming a 15% driveline loss. So, going from 225 to 350 will take a very well put together H/C/I combo along with other basic bolt-ons. Have your friend do a little more research before he starts spending money that wont make his car go faster. JMO, E

kamarokiller, i see you have a sc'er, also noticed you have a "pep girls" lol... fuel pump, even though your not making gobs of power, i would think you need at least a 155, you might not be getting enough fuel? just wondering.

with those mods i wouldn't want a set of 24# injectors either. Way to big for the limited power mods he has.

Ive got all the mods in my sig and havent noticed a change in fuel mileage. I know I am nowhere near 300rwhp, but just to give you an idea.
