302 head gasket
I recently purchased a set of head gasket for
my ford 302 (1987) from detroit gasket. there is a kind of smaller gasket glued on the larger one and I would like to know if it goes on facing the block side or the head side? the documentation says to put the gasket with FRONT at the top and at the front of the engine but it says front on both sides of it!!! |

Install it with the front water passages blocked off. Notice how on one side they are open and on the other they should be closed. This is to insure proper cooling of the block.
