2.3 trans?
Was about to redo the t-5 in my 93 stang, and was wondering if a 2.3 one will bolt in till I finish the project. Its just alot easier to find one of those. Thanks for the help.

OK, I spent the last hour or so looking though old mess. It sounds like this could work, maybe... for short while... if you drive like your granny. What do you think? I just need for a weekend or something like that.

I know alot of people will say no but it will bolt right in. I have one in my car and while i am waiting for it to blow it is actually holding up pretty good. You can check my profile for my motor but its a pretty stout motor and i by no means baby the tranny. I shift hard and beat the crap out of that tranny and its still working good. Im taking it out to the track friday so well see how it hold up there. But it will work without any changes bacause i just bolted it in.

for a temp fix it will work
when I'm doing a job like that I usually expect the car to be down, make sure I have everything I need and just do the job over a weekend and get it done, no pissing around. I don't think I would waste my time with a 2.3 tranny to just pull it again and reinstall a rebuilt 5.0 tranny and RoadWarrior, I think you found a good one. Some of them will let go in no time at all I hope it holds up at the track or is atleast goes out with a bang, hope you are trailering the car to the track
