Slow or what?????
Went to the track first time last weekend and ran a 14.2, I was hoping for low 13's or high12's. IS this a good time for all the mods that I have done??

It may be worth your time, since your car is carbureted to go and get it dyno tuned. The jetting of the carburetor can effect power alot as well as initial and total timing. I'm no expert about times, but unless you spun like crazy your time seems a little high. What altitude are you racing at?

I think that the altitude is something like 300 feet above sea level. I did spin through almost all of 1st. It was also only 50 degress outside.

Quick, just curious as to whether you had those 351W heads pocket ported / gasket matched? 3 angle valve job? Taking for granted that the 3.73 is limited slip.

they are 1974 windsor heads and I just had the machine shop dip them and check them for cracks and install new valves where needed. But no porting was done at all. I think the clutch pack is worn in the rear because it only spins posi sometimes. I am using 245/60/14 bfg radial ta's in the back. I just bought a pair of slicks today to bolt on my draglites. I got a 27-12-15 goodyear slick on a 15 by 10 rim. There shouldnt be any spinning at all with them. Also I dont have any subframe connectors yet. My MPH was 96 i believe. I am still running the stock fuel pump is this ok? I am getting about 6.5 to 7 psi at idle out of it.

Sounds to me like you're getting enough fuel pressure. 7 psi should be OK even with 5/16 fuel lines. If you really were spinning all the way in 1 st, then better tires should help.

Come on man, you gotta get some way better heads than that. If you insisted on using stock 351W heads get 1969 heads, and port/polish the hell outta them. I really recommend getting some nice aluminum heads for that thing. 289s suck unless they can breathe. '74W heads have some smog crap don't they? That, IMHO, is the bottleneck. Get the slicks and your posi rebuilt. You'll get 13s just from that. With the heads....oh man....12s 12s 12s......
