Default swap 95 computer for 89-93

i have read in a tech article on this sight that the reason the 94-95 5.0L are so much slower is because of the way that the computer is calibrated to lower timing between shifts(to lower torque output), and the fuel curves, my question is, would i be able to just swap out the 94-95 computer and put in a 89-93 computer in it to delete this messed up programming that ford thought would be good. thanks

You can swap the computers out but to do so you need the PIH kit from PRO-M. The PIH kit is pretty pricey i saw someone offering it for sale online for $500. I would just get a FRPP extender as it adjusts the fuel curve and takes out the timing retard between shifts. It also allows you to vary your rev limiter and adjust a/f ration. It's around $300. They've stopped production on the extender's i believe so you'll have to get one soon before everybody sells out.

OUCH!! that is a little pricey, for that much i might as well just either, keep the pedal mashed the floor during shifts, or buy an aftermarket computer thats programmable with a laptop, thanks for the input though, do you have any suggestions of which programmable computer to put in the car, thanks

I have an EEC tuner. It takes a while to get used to the tuning part of it. Check it out at www.eec-tuner.com , they go through pretty much everything there is to tuning and you can order one there also. I believe mine was 380 with shipping and everything but i could be wrong. Just check it out. There's also the TWEECER i don't know anything about it, but it's supposed to be similiar to the eec tuner. Maybe someone else could give you some input on it. Hope this helps.
