1995 Mustang GT mach 460 stereo problem
I have a '95 Mustang GT that had the mach 460 sound system, and like a lot of people on this site I have had many problems with it. I need help to try to diagnose the problem. I have a 450 watt JBL amp powering two Sony XPLOD 12 inch subs, 4 Pioneer 6x8's and a Kenwood 45 watt stereo. Completely randomly the sound will go out to a bunch of hissing and static, yet the subs still sound fine, this happens when I hit bumps or crank the stereo up, or completely randomly. I had a stereo shop supposedly bypass the mach 460 by running wires srtaight from the stereo to the speakers, meaning that the factory amp was no longer in service, but the problem still happens, can anyone help me?
Thanks, Matt |

it's a loose speaker wire, check your connections
