Engine Building Tips
I need some tips on building an engine.
Things like what head bolts go into the water jackets and need coating? And do I fill the lifters with oil when installing them? Basically all the little things that aren't in the Haynes/Chilton manuals.. |

Well I can't remember the exact bolts that go into the water jackets but you can look and tell, put some sealer on them so they don't rust. Soak all the lifters in some oil before you install them. Take your time and have patience dont rush. Make sure you don't crank down on any of the gaskets too much and don't use the cork front and back manifold gaskets use a steady stream of RTV.
