Question Distributor Problem

last season I had a problem where I would overheat and burn up TFI modules becuase the distributor would get to hot. I was told the distributor probably had a bad bearing. So I just installed a fresh replacement distributor out of the box and to my suprise It gets blistering hot and cooked the TFI. What could cause my distributors to get massivly hot. The motor is cool at all times but the distributor case is extremely hot. Is there an internal motor bearing that the gear rides on that could be bad and if so is it replaceble? I was beging to come up with a TFI relocation on the firewall like the 94-95 5.0L Any help would be greatly appreciated in that i want to drive my mustang again and be able to keep my TFi cool. Thanks!

Maybe too much voltage going to some part of distributor?
