Haha, sure. This could be a good thread to hear about other colleges as well. I know some people came from Florida and Ohio state on this forum. I'll be attending Temple School of Medicine in august on the HPSP (air force scholarship program). I really don't know much about going to Temple yet, but they have a great medical program, exposing their students to virtually anything under the sun (as can be said for almost any med school centered in a major city). I don't know what I'm interested in, though surgery would be nice. I'll see when I get through it all! Are there any specifics you want to know? Feel free to ask!

How about anyone else? College/grad/med school experiences, etc. you'd like to share?

Thanks for noticing Miss Mischief , though having my name in the title of a thread .....

University of Florida!

this school rocks...but i hate it so much....lol

i applied to this school thinking it was just another state school...pfft...turns out its ranked...lol...whoda thunk? ...so im finding myself working very hard for professors who dont care much because there are over 40,000 people here...

i honestly dont even know what i want to be yet...im a physics major here though and virtually all of their programs rock, but like i said, im clueless....

but this campus is the most beautiful out of any campus I've ever seen...the buildings and all the nature theyve kept throughout the freaking HUGE campus...this place has got to be at least 20 square miles...lol...i think the look of this place and the friendliness of the majority of students is whats keeping me here...

wonder what other colleges this place is connected from?

I'm also a Penn State grad, Class of 2000. Kind of connected to the University of Florida in a way too. My friend's dad is an astronomy prof down in Gainesville, so we've been down to visit a few times. We used to use his house as a base of operations when we'd go to Florida for spring break.

Right now I'm working on my master's degree at San Jose State University. I've been to the town before, but since the program is distance learning, I've never set foot on campus and probably won't until I graduate.

Still miss the mountains, the bars, and the laid-back atmosphere of Happy Valley now and then.

Last name is Wilson...not sure if he is still there or not. He was in Europe doing some work for a while, and I've sort of lost touch with the friend in the meantime. The guy's nothing short of a genius, though...

I'm also not sure if he teaches undergrad classes or just grad students.

Anyway, I of course am a die-hard Penn State football fan but the Gators have become an "adopted" team I follow when I can. I make time to watch the Florida-Florida State game just as I would a Penn State-Michigan or Penn State-Ohio State game.
