Default 79 Mustang Purchase

I am looking a purchasing a 79 with a 351W. The current owner did the swap, however has not completed all the work. The engine runs but no power steering or A/C installed yet. What will it take to get these parts installed and operational?

If I decide to purchase this car, I will be back for more questions. This is a real project car that will need quite a bit of work to get it going down the road again. But for $400.00 can I go wrong?

if it was me I'd open the window for a/c, then put in a manual rack, in or loop the 2 ps lines together doing this acts like a manual rack. then go burn them tires off!!

Thanks for the reply. I am new to the Mustang world and still trying to learn as much as I can before deciding to buy this car. I am prob gonna buy the car and will be spending a lot of time here reading the messages and posting. From what I have read so far there seems to be a lot of knowledgable people here.

Another question:
I was told that this car came stock with a 4 cyl engine and the rear gearing was not changed. What is the gearing in the rear, and will it hold up to the 351W?

MY ALLDATA INFO GOES BACK AS FAR AS 1982 for a 4cly. THAT YEAR HAD A POSSIBLE THREE REAR ENDS 6.75 WITH 2.73 OR 3.08,NEXT 7.5 WITH 2.26/2.47/2.73/3.08/3.27/3.45/ THEN A 8.8 REAR,2.73/3.08/3.27. THAT WAS THE POSSIBLE REAR ENDS AND GEARs//// SO LOTS! LOOK FOR A TAG ON THE DIFF COVER TRYIN TO MATCH SOME OF THE NUMBERS the 351w gonna be hard on the rear end, so hope you have the 8.8 rear end

Thanks.

That is what I am hoping for. I have read that the 8.8 is the one to have. Well I think my wife has decided to let me buy it, so I will pick up l8r in the week. Then I will take inventory of wha tall needs to be done and head back here for more input from the board. There seems to be a wealth of information here so I should be able to get the help I need.

BTW: Any good online shops for buying parts?

Thanks Again!!!
